What data we collect and why
We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it through the registration form on this site. The information we collect includes:
Your contact details
Name and email address, used to respond to your registration and arrange a session.
Information about your charity
Charity name, Scottish Charity number, annual income band, number of trustees, main activities and current compliance concerns. Used to assess whether the Charity Compliance Engine is a good fit for your organisation and to prepare for the session.
How you heard about us
Used to understand which referral channels are working. This information is anonymised for analysis purposes.
Our legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in assessing whether the Charity Compliance Engine is suitable for your charity and in delivering the session you have requested. This processing is necessary to provide the service and would be expected by anyone submitting a registration form.
Where we send you follow-up communications relating to your session or to arranging contact, this is also on the basis of legitimate interests, directly related to your registration.
How long we keep your data
We retain registration information for up to 12 months from the date of submission, or for the duration of any ongoing engagement, whichever is longer. Session records are retained for up to three years for governance and quality assurance purposes.
Where a registration does not progress to a session, we will delete your data within 90 days of our last contact.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following categories of third party in the course of delivering our services:
Email and communication tools used to manage correspondence.
Website hosting and form processing provided by our hosting provider and WPForms.
Associates where a session requires specialist input from a trusted associate, only the information necessary for that engagement will be shared and under appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

✓ Request deletion of your data where we no longer have a legitimate reason to hold it
